PEORIA, Ill. — The Wisconsin Woodsmen made it look easy Friday evening, as they picked up
goals from five different players in rolling to a commanding 6-2 NA3HL win over the Peoria
Mustangs at Owen Center.
Wisconsin, coming off a split against the St. Louis Junior Blues last weekend — and having
swept the Mustangs with a pair of shutout wins the weekend before that — turned in a
dominating offensive performance against Peoria on Friday, jumping out to a 3-0 first-period
lead and never looking back.
Thomas Suckert scored his first goal as a Woodsmen to kick things off, while Tyler Osborne and
Parker Holloway also found the back of the net to give Wisconsin its three-goal cushion after 20
minutes of play.
Peoria sandwiched goals by Nathan Pleva and Hayden Gray around a Tristan Pownall
Woodsmen goal to get the Mustangs within two, 4-2, heading into the second intermission.
Holloway collected his second of the night, and 12th of the season, at 4:03 of the third and
Ozbej Muzan added his fourth of the year with 2:55 to play to seal the win.
Holloway also picked up an assist to close out the night with three points, while Patrick Bowser
and Josh Kauppinen each had a pair of helpers. Alex Rivolta did his part between the pipes for
the Woodsmen, stopping 45 of the Mustangs 47 shots on goal.
The Woodsmen (16-22-2-2) will go for the sweep of the Mustangs on Saturday, returning to the
Owen Center in Peoria, Ill., for a 6 p.m. rematch.
