APPLETON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Woodsmen had so much fun shutting out the Fox Cities
Forge in the teams’ first-ever meeting on Friday night, they felt an encore performance was in
order in the rematch.
Fresh off a 5-0 victory on Friday, the Woodsmen put up a second straight shutout on Saturday,
getting goals from four different players and an 18-save effort from Dominic Seligman to
complete the NA3HL sweep with a 4-0 triumph at the Appleton Family Ice Center.
With Seligman doing his impression as a brick wall between the pipes, Andrei Khomenko’s first-
period goal was really all the offense the Woodsmen would need.
After a scoreless second frame, the Woodsmen sealed their second straight win, getting goals
from Paxton Raymond, Jackson Haupt, and Ty Paulios.
Bryce Bechen picked up assists on three of Wisconsin’s four goals, while Cameron Hovden
chipped in a pair of helpers.
Wisconsin (6-3-1-0 overall) are back in action next Friday, when the Woodsmen return home to
the Tomah Ice Center for a 7:15 p.m. NA3HL matchup against the Rochester Grizzlies.
