WOODSMEN OFFENSE ENJOYS BANNER NIGHT IN 9-1 ROUT OF MUSTANGS

Nov 8, 2025

TOMAH, Wis. — The Wisconsin Woodsmen bid farewell to one streak on Friday, and said hello
to another a day later.

Wisconsin, which knocked off the Peoria Mustangs 3-2 on Friday to put an end to a franchise-
high nine-game losing streak on Friday, notched its first two-game winning streak of the season
in Saturday’s rematch.

Ty Paulios recorded his first hat trick as a Woodsmen and Lleyton Jaschke stopped a29 of the 30
shots he faced, as Wisconsin erupted for a season-high nine goals en route to an 9-1 victory
over the Mustangs in the teams’ rematch Saturday at the Tomah Ice Center.

As was the case in Friday’s win, the Woodsmen jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the opening 20
minutes, this time around outshooting the visiting Mustangs 21-6 and getting goals from Ty
Paulios and Nolan Mix to take the two-goal advantage into the first intermission.

The Woodsmen put the game out of reach in the second stanza, erupting for four goals to
extend their advantage to 6-0 with 20 minutes to play.

Bryce Bechen kicked things off in the Woodsmen’s four-goal second period, scoring just 3:41 in.
Paulos netted his second of the night six minutes later to make it 4-0, and Tyler Osborne and

Maxim Lazo added goals in the period’s final six minutes to give Wisconsin its commanding 6-0
cushion with 20 minutes to play.

And the Woodsmen were just getting warmed up.

Cole Schreiber found the back of the net less than three minutes into the final period, and by
the time the final horn sounded, Paulios and Josh Kauppinen had also found the back of the net
to give the Woodsmen their highest offensive output since scoring nine goals against the
Minnesota Loons on Jan. 27, 2024.

Brendon Miller thwarted Woodsmen goalie Lleyton Jaschke’s bid for a shutout, scoring the
Mustangs’ lone goal of the game with 2:21 to play to round out the scoring.

The Woodsmen erupted for a season-high 64 shots on goal — five shy of the franchise’s single-
game record — while Peoria finished with 30 shots on goal.

The Woodsmen (4-13-1-0) are right back on their home ice next weekend, welcoming the
Minnesota Moose to the Tomah Ice Center for a pair of 7:15 p.m. NA3HL games on Friday and
Saturday night.
