WOODSMEN FALL TO MOOSE IN SHOOTOUT

Nov 15, 2025

TOMAH, Wis. — Goals were hard to come by when the Wisconsin Woodsmen and Minnesota
Moose squared off Friday evening at the Tomah Ice Center.

In fact, after three full periods and an overtime session, the two teams had combined for just
two goals — one for the Woodsmen and one for the Moose.

Unfortunately for the Woodsmen, after skating to the 1-1 draw, it would be the Moose who
would garner the extra NA3HL point, scoring the only goal of the three-person shootout.

Wisconsin had the upper hand in the opening period, outshooting the Moose 11-7, and getting
the only goal of the period off the stick of Tyler Osborne with 5:56 to play in the frame.

The Moose turned the tables in the second stanza, outshooting Wisconsin 12-7, and getting the
game-tying goal from Luca Salak with 2:42 to play, to knot the game at 1-1.

Neither team could find the back of the net in the third period — or in overtime — thanks in
part to the play of goalies Lleyton Jaschke and Gabe Otis. Jaschke made 14 third-period saves
and stopped both shots he faced in overtime for the Woodsmen, while Otis kicked out all 12
Wisconsin third-period shots to keep the game deadlocked at 1-1.

Jaschke finished with 34 saves between the pipes for Wisconsin, while Otis record 29 saves for
the Moose.

The Woodsmen (4-13-1-1) and Moose will go at it again on Saturday, as the two teams return
to the Tomah Ice Center for the 7:15 p.m. rematch.
