WOODSMEN COLLECT THIRD STRAIGHT WIN OVER FOX CITIES WITH 6-2 VICTORY

Oct 31, 2026

TOMAH, Wis. – The Fox Cities Forge — who failed to score in either of its first two meetings
against the Wisconsin Woodsmen this season — found the back of the net twice in the first 15
minutes of meeting No. 3 Friday evening.

Two goals, however, was not nearly enough, as the Woodsmen got a pair of goals from both
Andrei Khomenko and Parker Holloway en route to their third win in three meetings with the
Forge — a 6-2 NA3HL victory at the Tomah Ice Center.

The Woodsmen and Forge traded goals in the first period, with Khomenko opening the scoring
just 18 seconds into the opening frame, only to have Malachi McCormack answer with his first
of the season with 8:28 to play. Ozbej Muzan put Wisconsin back in front just a minute after
McCormack’s tally, but again the Forge had an answer, with McCormack netting his second of
the night to knot the game at 2-2 after 20 minutes.

That would be the last time the Forge would light the lamp, however — and the Woodsmen
were just getting warmed up.

Nejc Golob scored his first as a Woodsmen 2:21 into period No. 2, and Khomenko and Holloway
would both find the back of the net before the period ended to extend Wisconsin’s lead to 5-2
with 20 minutes to play.

Holloway capped his two-goal night with team-leading goal No. 11 with five minutes to play in
the third period to round out the scoring.

Holloway also collected an assist on the night to finish the game with three points, while
Jackson Haupt picked up a pair of assists.

Nicholas Foy earned the win in goal for Wisconsin, kicking out 29 of the Forge’s 31 shots on
goal, while Fox Cities’ goalie Filip Kaczmarczyk finished with 44 saves.

The Woodsmen (9-4-0-0 overall) are back in action next weekend with a pair of home games
against the Wausau Cyclones. The two teams will take the ice at 7:15 p.m. at the Tomah Ice
Center on Friday, with the rematch on Saturday also slated for 7:15 p.m.
