of league-leading Wausau.
• LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin erupted five goals in both games against Rochester last weekend,
beating the Grizzlies 5-3 on Friday night, before completing the sweep with a 5-1 win in the
rematch the following evening.
• ROLLING ALONG: With their back-to-back victories over Rochester last weekend, the
Woodsmen extended their winning streak to four — equaling the longest win streak in franchise
history.
• HOME SWEET HOME: Beginning with last weekend’s two game against Rochester, Wisconsin
is in the midst of playing six consecutive games on its home ice, also hosting the St. Louis Jr.
Blues for two games this weekend, and welcoming the Grizzlies back for two more on Nov. 8-9.
… Wisconsin is sitting at 4-1-0-1 on the road, while going 4-3-1-0 at the Tomah Ice Center.
• TURNING UP THE HEAT: The Woodsmen erupted for 18 goals in their two-game sweep of
Peoria on Oct. 18-19. The eight goals scored in last Friday’s 8-1 win were the most Wisconsin
had scored all season, only to be two-upped with the Woodsmen’s 10-goal eruption in their 10-
7 win the following evening. … The Woodsmen’s 10 goals against Peoria on Oct. 19 were the
most since netting a franchise-record 14 against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.
• RIGHT ON TARGET: The Woodsmen finished with a season-high 67 shots on goal against
Peoria on Oct. 19 — including 20 in the first period and 29 in their six-goal second period. …
Wisconsin’s 67 shots on goal were the third-most in franchise history and just two shy of the
program record of 69, set against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 27, 2024.
• WHITE-KNUCKLE RIDE: Six of the Woodsmen’s first 10 games this season were decided by one
goal — including three that have gone into overtime, and one decided by a shootout.
• FRANCHISE FIRST: After going 0-9-0-1 in its 10 meetings against Wausau last season, the
Woodsmen picked up their first-ever win against the Cyclones with a 3-2 victory on Sept. 20.
• FRANCHISE FIRST II: Last weekend’s two games against Rochester mark the first-ever meeting
between the Woodsmen and the Grizzlies.
• LIGHTING THE LAMP: With his two goals last Friday, Nolan Mix moved into the team lead with
11 goals, two more than Joshua Kauppinen and three up on Hugh Deinema. … Tristen May-
Robinson and Maxim Lazo are tied for fourth with five goals each, followed by Tyler Osborne
and Daniel Svozil with four. … Deinema closed out the 2023-24 season as the Woodsmen’s
leading goal scorer with 29 goals in 44 games.

straight game in which he netted a pair of goals. Mix has now scored two goals in a game four
times this season, while Kauppinen has netted two goals in a game twice. Lazo and Murray have
also recorded multiple-goal games this season.
• TRIPLING UP: Lazo scored three of Wisconsin’s five goals in last Saturday’s 5-1 win over
Rochester. It was the Woodsmen’s first hat trick of the season, and the third time in program
history they have had a player score three or more goals in a game.
• STREAK-SNAPPER: Kauppinen had his season-opening four-game goal-scoring streak snapped
in Wisconsin’s 6-5 overtime loss to Granite City on Sept. 27. … Deinema netted a goal in each of
Wisconsin’s first three games.

• LENDING A HELPING HAND: Deinema collected a pair of assists against Rochester over the
weekend, extending his team-lead to 15. Fueled by his four helpers last weekend, Viktor Budik
moved into second on the squad with 11 helpers, followed by Mix and May-Robinson with eight,
and Murray, Kauppinen, Svozil, and Johnny Thrasher with five apiece. … Budik led the
Woodsmen with 30 assists a year ago, four more than Nicholas O’Brien.
• POINT PRODUCERS: With his eight goals and 15 assists, Deinema sits atop the team’s points
race with 23. He is one of seven Woodsmen with 10+ points already this season, being joined by
Mix (11 G, 8 A, 19 Pts), Kauppinen (9 G, 6 A, 15 Pts), May-Robinson (5 G, 8 A, 13 Pts), Budik (2 G,
