The Wisconsin Woodsmen hit the road for the second straight weekend this weekend, heading to the Owens Center in Peoria, Ill., for a pair of games against the Peoria Mustangs. The two teams will square off a for a 7 p.m. NA3HL matchup on Friday, with Saturday’s rematch slated for 4 p.m.

- FOR THE RECORD: The Woodsmen head into their NA3HL weekend series against the Peoria Mustangs sporting a 5-14-2-1 record. … Wisconsin closed out the 2024-25 season with a 24-16-6-3 record, good for fifth place in the NA3HL Central Division standings.
- LAST TIME OUT: The Woodsmen and Rochester Grizzlies battled to a pair of 4-3 overtime decisions last weekend in Rochester, Minn., with Wisconsin taking the one-goal OT victory on Friday, while Rochester turned the tables with the same outcome the following evening.
- HITTING THE ROAD: After seven straight home games, the Woodsmen are in the midst of a four-game road trip, having played a pair of games at the Rochester Grizzlies last weekend, before this weekend’s two-game set at the Peoria Mustangs. … Wisconsin has collected all four of its wins this season on its home ice, going 4-8-0-1 at the Tomah Ice Center, while dropping all seven of its road contests this year. … The Woodsmen finished 11-8-3-3 at the Tomah Ice Center a year ago, while going 11-8-3-3 on the road.
- STREAKING: Thanks to their 4-3 OT win over the Rochester Grizzlies on. Nov. 21, the Woodsmen extended their winning streak to a season-high three game. Unfortunately, the streak came to a screeching halt with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Grizzlies the following evening. … With their 3-2 win over the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7, the Woodsmen put an end to a franchise-high nine-game losing streak.
- WHITE-KNUCKLE RIDE: With their back-to-back 4-3 overtime games against the Rochester Grizzlies on Nov. 22-23, the Woodsmen have now played seven games this season decided by one goal, and have now played 27 games over the last two seasons decided by one goal — including 15 that went into overtime and four decided in a shootout. … Wisconsin’s 2-1 loss to the Minnesota Moose on Nov. 15 was their first game this season decided by a shootout.
- TURNING UP THE HEAT: The Woodsmen erupted for a season-high nine goals in their 9-1 rout of the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 8. It was the most goals the Woodsmen have put up since putting up nine goals against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 27, 2024. The nine goals were also

- TURNING UP THE HEAT III: The Woodsmen have scored six or more goals in a game four times this season, and have netted 6+ goals in a game 14 times over the last two seasons.
- COMING UP EMPTY: The Woodsmen’s 4-0 loss to the Wausau Cyclones on Oct. 24 marked the first time this season they were held without a goal. The last time Wisconsin, which has scored 65 goals in 22 games, had been shut out came in a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Moose on Dec. 6, 2025.
- LIGHTING THE LAMP: Thanks to his three-goal effort against the Rochester Grizzlies on Nov. 22, Ty Paulios moved into the top spot with 13 goals, three more than Maxim Lazo. Nolan Mix is third on the team with eight goals, followed by Tyler Osborne with five, and Brodie Mich and Ethan Foiles with four each.
- SPREADING THE WEALTH:The Woodsmen — whose seven combined goals in its season-opening split against the Rochester Grizzlies on Sept. 12-13 came from seven different players — have already had 17 players light the lamp this season.
- FRANCHISE BEST: Lazo’s four goals in Wisconsin’s 6-4 win over the West Bend Power on Oct. 3 matched his single-game career high, and equaled the franchise single-game record. … Lazo has now scored four goals in a game twice, having also achieved the feat against the Mason City Toros last season. … Nolan Mix originally had set the program record, scoring four goals against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.
- TOSSING THE HAT: Paulios’s hat trick against the Rochester Grizzlies on Nov. 22 was his second of the season, having also netted three goals against the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7. … Wisconsin has now had a player record three or more goals in a game eight times over the last two seasons.
- LENDING A HELPING HAND: Lazo leads the team in assists with 14, three up on both Mix ad Mich, with Paulios also reaching double figures with 10 helpers. Brandon Slasor is fourth on the team with eight assists, followed by Cole Schreiber with six, and Osborne, Josh Kauppinen, Parker Holloway, Patrick Bowser, and Alexander Elsner with five each. … Mix picked up four assists in Wisconsin’s 8-2 win over St. Louis on Nov. 2, 2024, one shy of the single-game franchise record of five, set by Hunter Nelson against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.
- POINT PRODUCERS: Wisconsin boasts six players who have already reached double figures in points, led by Lazo (10 G, 14 A) with 24. Paulios (13 G, 10 A, 23 Pts), Mix (8 G, 11 A, 19 Pts), Mich (4 G, 11 A, 15 Pts), Slasor (3 G, 8 A, 11 Pts), and Osborne (5 G, 5 A, 10 Pts) have also eclipsed the 10-point mark. - BETWEEN THE PIPES: Lleyton Jaschke has appeared in 16 of the Woodsmen’s 22 games in goal (865 minutes), compiling a 4.30 goals-against-average and an .887 save percentage. … Jaschke has stopped 550 of the 612 shots he’s faced. … Logan Blahnik has played in five games (217 minutes), boating a 5.25 GAA and .850 save %. … Aidan Vanderweele made his first career start as a Woodsmen against the Wausau Cyclones on Sept. 20, stopping 46 of the Cyclones’ 53 shots and owns an 8.18 GAA and .818 save % in two appearances (88 minutes), while Alex Rivolta boasts a 2.40 GAA and .936 save percentage in three appearances (150 minutes). … Jaschke closed out the 2024-25 season recording 511 saves in 21 appearances, second to Steven Kelley’s team-leading 738 saves in 25 appearances.
- FRANCHISE FIRST: After going 0-9-0-1 in its 10 meetings against the Wausau Cyclones during the 2023-2024 season, the Woodsmen picked up their first-ever win against the Cyclones with a 3-2 victory on Sept. 20, 2024, and added win No. 2 with a 6-3 victory on Dec. 21, 2024.

- FOR THE RECORD: The Mustangs head into their two-game home showdown against the Wisconsin Woodsmen sporting a 2-18-2-0 record, leaving them sixth in the six-team NA3HL Central Division standings
- LAST TIME OUT: Peoria split its two games against the Wausau Cyclones last weekend in a pair of high-scoring affairs. The Mustangs opened the weekend with a 7-4 win on Friday, only to have the Cyclones erupt for nine goals in a 9-2 victory the following evening.
- STREAKING: Peoria’s 8-4 win over the Minnesota Wilderness on Oct. 24 snapped the Mustangs’ season-opening 14-game losing streak. … Since that 8-4 victory, the Mustangs have gone 1-6 in their last seven games.
- LIGHTING THE LAMP: Brendon Miller heads into the weekend as the Mustangs’ goal-scoring leader with 11, three in front of both Wyatt Duke and Owen Gruden. Nathan Pleva and Breyon Maroney are fourth on the team with six goals apiece, followed by Jordan Mini with three.
- LENDING A HELPING HAND: Duke has dished out a team-leading 15 assists in 22 games and is one of four players with 10 or more helpers on the year. Miller, Gruden, and Pleva are the other three owning double digits in assists, each boasting 10 helpers.
- POINT PRODUCERS: Duke and Miller have both eclipsed the 20-point mark this season, with Duke (8 G, 15 A) owning a team-best 23 points, two up on Miller (11 G, 10 A). Gruden is third on the squad with 18 points (8 G, 10 A), while Pleva (6 G, 10 A, 16 Pts) and Maroney (6 G, 8 A, 14 Pts) also boasting 10+ points this season.
- BETWEEN THE PIPES: Four different goalies have seen action between the pipes for the Mustangs, led by Jakub Stary and Charlie Maquet. Stary has compiled a 5.51 goals-against-average and .882 save percentage in 13 appearances (642:00), while Maquet boasts a 6.99 GAA and .834 save % in 11 games (532:00). Albert Ancinec owns an 8.76 GAA and .809 save % in two games played (89:00), with Sam Burcal posting a 6.00 GAA and .864 save % in his lone appearance. … Stary has made a team-high 501 saves, followed by Maquet with 374, Ancinec with 68, and Burcal with 44.
