The Wisconsin Woodsmen are back in action this weekend with a pair of home games against the Minnesota Moose. The Woodsmen and Moose will square off at the Tomah Ice Center at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, with the two teams completing their weekend series with another 7:15 p.m. matchup the following evening.

- FOR THE RECORD: The Woodsmen head into their NA3HL weekend series against the Minnesota Moose sporting a 4-13-1-0 record. … Wisconsin closed out the 2024-25 season with a 24-16-6-3 record, good for fifth place in the NA3HL Central Division standings.
- LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin erupted for a combined 12 goals in sweeping the Peoria Mustangs lasts weekend at the Tomah Ice Center. The Woodsmen escaped with a 3-2 win last Friday, before erupting for nine goals in a 9-1 whitewashing of Peoria the following evening.
- HOME COOKING: This weekend’s games against the Minnesota Moose are the sixth and seventh straight home games for the Woodsmen. Wisconsin does not hit the road again until a Nov. 21 matchup at the Rochester Grizzlies. … Wisconsin has collected all four of its wins this season on its home ice, going 4-7-0-0 at the Tomah Ice Center, while dropping all seven of its road contests this year. … The Woodsmen finished 11-8-3-3 at the Tomah Ice Center a year ago, while going 11-8-3-3 on the road.
- STREAKING: Thanks to 3-2 and 9-1 wins over the Peoria Mustangs last weekend, Wisconsin heads into this weekend having won back-to-back games for the first time this season. … With their 3-2 win over the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7, the Woodsmen put an end to a franchise-high nine-game losing streak.
- WHITE-KNUCKLE RIDE: With their 3-2 win over the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7, the Woodsmen have now played four games this season decided by one goal (all losses) and have now played 24 games over the last two seasons decided by one goal — including 12 that went into overtime and three decided in a shootout.
- TURNING UP THE HEAT: The Woodsmen erupted for a season-high nine goals in their 9-1 rout of the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 8. It was the most goals the Woodsmen have put up since putting up nine goals against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 27, 2024. The nine goals were also

- COMING UP EMPTY: The Woodsmen’s 4-0 loss to the Wausau Cyclones on Oct. 24 marked the first time this season they were held without a goal. The last time Wisconsin, which has scored 44 goals in 16 games, had been shut out came in a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Moose on Dec. 6, 2025.
- LIGHTING THE LAMP: Maxim Lazo heads into the weekend boasting a team-leading 10 goals. Ty Paulios and Nolan Mix are tied for second with eight goals each, followed by Tyler Osborne and Ethan Foiles with four goals and Brodie Mich and Cole Schreiber with three.
- SPREADING THE WEALTH:The Woodsmen — whose seven combined goals in its season-opening split against the Rochester Grizzlies on Sept. 12-13 came from seven different players — have already had 17 players light the lamp this season.
- FRANCHISE BEST: Lazo’s four goals in Wisconsin’s 6-4 win over the West Bend Power on Oct. 3 matched his single-game career high, and equaled the franchise single-game record. … Lazo has now scored four goals in a game twice, having also achieved the feat against the Mason City Toros last season. … Nolan Mix originally had set the program record, scoring four goals against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.
- TOSSING THE HAT: Thanks to Paulios’s hat trick against the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7, the Woodsmen have now had a player record three or more goals in a game seven times over the last two seasons.
- LENDING A HELPING HAND: Lazo picked up three assists in the Woodsmen’s sweep of the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7-8, pushing his team-leading assist total to 13, four more than Paulios and Mich. Mix is fourth on the team with seven helpers, followed by Brandon Slasor with six, and Schreiber, Josh Kauppinen and Patrick Bowser with five each. … Mix picked up four assists in Wisconsin’s 8-2 win over St. Louis on Nov. 2, 2024, one shy of the single-game franchise record of five, set by Hunter Nelson against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.
- POINT PRODUCERS: Wisconsin boasts four players who have already reached double figures in points, led by Lazo (10 G, 13 A) with 23. Paulios (8 G, 9 A, 17 Pts), Mix (8 G, 7 A, 15 Pts), and Mich (3 G, 9 A, 12 Pts) have also eclipsed the 10-point mark. - BETWEEN THE PIPES: Lleyton Jaschke has appeared in 14 of the Woodsmen’s 18 games in goal (765 minutes), compiling a 4.07 goals-against-average and an .892 save percentage. … Jaschke has stopped 480 of the 532 shots he’s faced. … Logan Blahnik has played in five games (217 minutes), boating a 5.25 GAA and .850 save %. … Aidan Vanderweele made his first career start as a Woodsmen against the Wausau Cyclones on Sept. 20, stopping 46 of the Cyclones’ 53 shots and owns a 8.18 GAA and .818 save % in 2 appearances (88 minutes). … Jaschke closed out the 2024-25 season recording 511 saves in 21 appearances, second to Steven Kelley’s team-leading 738 saves in 25 appearances.
- FRANCHISE FIRST: After going 0-9-0-1 in its 10 meetings against the Wausau Cyclones during the 2023-2024 season, the Woodsmen picked up their first-ever win against the Cyclones with a 3-2 victory on Sept. 20, 2024, and added win No. 2 with a 6-3 victory on Dec. 21, 2024.

- FOR THE RECORD: The Moose head into their weekend road trip to Tomah, Wis., sporting an 11-4-0-0 record, good for 22 points and a second-place spot in the West Division standings.
- LAST TIME OUT: The Moose picked up a pair of victories last weekend in their home-and-home series against the Minnesota Wilderness. The Moose opened the weekend with a 5-2 road win on Friday, before completing the sweep with a 3-1 victory the following evening.
- STREAKING: With their back-to-back wins over the Minnesota Wilderness last weekend, the Moose head into their two-game series against the Woodsmen riding a five-game winning streak. … The Moose have outscored their opponents 24-8 during its current five-game run.
- LIGHTING THE LAMP: Luca Salak heads into Minnesota’s weekend series against the Woodsmen leading the team in goals with eight, one more than both Charlie Marchand and Brady Johnson. Will Burnevik and Mark Denoyer are tied for fourth with six goals each, followed by George Ericson with five, and Caleb Schwark with four. … The Moose have gotten scoring from 15 different players.
- LENDING A HELPING HAND: Salak has amassed a team-leading 11 assists. He is one of two Moose who have reached double figures in assists, being joined by Wyatt Hoepfl, who has 10 helpers. Marchand is third on the squad with seven assists, one more than Johnson, Burnevik, Will Cymbaluk, and Jordan Giacomini.
- POINT PRODUCERS: With his eight goals and 11 assists, Salak sits atop the team’s points race with 19. Salak leads six players who have already eclipsed the 10-point mark, being joined by Marchand (7 G, 7 A, 14 Pts), Johnson (7 G, 6 A, 13 Pts), Burnevik (6 G, 6 A, 12 Pts), Hoepfl (1 G, 10 A, 11 Pts), and Ericson (5 G, 5 A, 10 Pts). Denoyer (6 G, 3 A, 9 Pts) is one point shy of joining the double-digit brigade, while Schwark (4 G, 4 A, 8 Pts) is two points away.
- BETWEEN THE PIPES: The Moose have used three different goalies this season, led by Gabe Otis and Easton Lemke. Otis has appeared in eight games (481 minutes), compiling a 1.99 goals-against-average and .938 save percentage, while Lemke owns a 2.40 GAA and .926 save % in seven appearances (399 minutes).
