The Wisconsin Woodsmen are back on the road this weekend, heading to Affton, Mo., for a pair of NA3HL games against the St. Louis Jr. Blues. The two teams will take the ice at the Affton Ice Rink for a 7:50 p.m. matchup on Friday, with Saturday’s rematch slated for a 7 p.m. puck drop.

- FOR THE RECORD: The Woodsmen head into their weekend games against the St. Louis Junior Blues sporting a 17-22-2-2 record, good for 38 points and a fifth-place showing in the NA3HL Central Division standings. … Wisconsin closed out the 2024-25 season with a 24-16-6-3 record, good for fifth place in the NA3HL Central Division standings.
- LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin has been off since Feb. 6-7, when it cruised to a pair of wins over the Peoria Mustangs. The Woodsmen opened their weekend road series with a 6-2 win and followed that up with a second straight six-goal effort in dropping the Mustangs 6-3 the following evening.
- ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Woodsmen are in the midst of playing five of their final six regular-season games on the road, the lone home game in that stretch at March 7 showdown against league-leading West Bend Power. … Wisconsin has collected 10 of its 15 wins this season on its home ice, going 10-10-0-2 at the Tomah Ice Center, while owning a 7-12-2-0 mark on the road this year. … The Woodsmen finished 11-8-3-3 at the Tomah Ice Center a year ago, while going 11-8-3-3 on the road.
- STREAKING: The Woodsmen’s 6-0 win over the Peoria Mustangs on Jan. 30 snapped their six-game losing streak, while their 7-0 victory the following evening and their 2-1 OT victory over the St. Louis Junior Blues on Feb. 6 had them riding a season-high three-game winning streak for the fourth time this season. The Junior. Blues foiled Wisconsin’s bid for a fourth straight win with a 5-4 shootout victory on Feb. 7. … With their 3-2 win over the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7, the Woodsmen put an end to a franchise-high nine-game losing streak.
- WHITE-KNUCKLE RIDE: The Woodsmen’s 2-1 overtime win and 5-4 shootout loss on Feb. 6-7 marked the 11th and 12th times this season the game was decided by one goal. Wisconsin has now played 32 games over the last two seasons that have been decided by one goal — including 18 that have gone into overtime and five decided in a shootout. … Wisconsin has lost both of its shootouts this season, falling to the Minnesota Moose on Nov. 15 and to the St. Louis Jr. Blues on Feb. 7.
- TURNING UP THE HEAT: The Woodsmen erupted for a season-high 13 goals in routing the Pelham Power on Dec. 14. The 13 goals were one shy of the single-game franchise record of 14, set in a 14-0 whitewashing of the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.
- TURNING UP THE HEAT II: Wisconsin peppered the Peoria Mustangs’ net with 64 shots in its 9-1 win over the Mustangs on Nov. 8. The 64 shots on goal were a season-high, and the most since recording 67 shots against Peoria on Oct. 19, 2024.
- TURNING UP THE HEAT III: The Woodsmen have scored six or more goals in a game 11 times this season, and have netted 6+ goals in a game 21 times over the last two seasons.
- PUTTING UP ZEOES: The Woodsmen posted back-to-back shutouts against the Peoria Mustangs on Jan. 30-31, marking the first time in program history Wisconsin has not allowed a goal in back-to-back games. … Wisconsin has posted four shutouts this season.
- COMING UP EMPTY: The Woodsmen’s 4-0 loss to the Wausau Cyclones on Oct. 24 marked the first time this season they were held without a goal. The last time Wisconsin had been shut out came in a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Moose on Dec. 6, 2024.
- LIGHTING THE LAMP: Ty Paulios leads the team with 19 goals, three more than Parker Holloway, who is second on the squad with 16 goals. Tyler Osborne is the only other Woodsmen to reach double figures in goals, sitting with 13, while Brandon Slasor is one goal shy of joining the 10+ club and Josh Kauppinen is just two away.

- FRANCHISE BEST: Maxim Lazo’s four goals in Wisconsin’s 6-4 win over the West Bend Power on Oct. 3 matched his single-game career high, and equaled the franchise single-game record. … Lazo has now scored four goals in a game twice, having also achieved the feat against the Mason City Toros last season. … Nolan Mix originally had set the program record, scoring four goals against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.
- TOSSING THE HAT: Paulios’s hat trick against the Rochester Grizzlies on Nov. 22 was his second of the season, having also netted three goals against the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7. … Wisconsin has now had a player record three or more goals in a game eight times over the last two seasons.
- LENDING A HELPING HAND: Paulios is the team-leader in assists with 24. He is one of nine Woodsmen who have eclipsed the 10-assist mark. Kauppinen is second on the team with 24 assists, followed closely by Brodie Mich, who is third with 22 and Slasor, who is fourth with 20. Osborne (18), Bryce Bechen (18), Holloway (15), Patrick Bowser (13), and Alec Dahlvang (11) have also reached double figures in assists.. … Osborne picked up four assists in the Woodsmen’s 7-0 win over the Bozeman Icedogs on Dec. 16, one shy of the single-game franchise record of five, set by Hunter Nelson against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.

- BETWEEN THE PIPES: Lleyton Jaschke has appeared in 29 of the Woodsmen’s 41 games in goal (1551:00), compiling a 4.13 goals-against-average and an .883 save percentage. … Jaschke has stopped a team-leading 916 shots. … Jaschke recorded the first two shutouts of the season against the Peoria Mustangs on Jan. 30-31. He stopped 14 shots in a 6-0 win on Jan. 30, and added a 23-save performance in a 7-0 victory the following evening. … Alex Rivolta — who picked up his first and second shutouts as a Woodsmen with a six-save effort against the Pelham Prowlers on Dec. 14 and a 27-save showing against the Bozeman Icedogs two days later — boasts a team-best 2.59 GAA and .921 save percentage in 15 appearances (763:00), while Logan Blahnik has played in six games (240:00), boating a 5.00 GAA and .843 save % and Aidan Vanderweele owns a 7.60 GAA and .818 save % in three appearances (142:00). … Jaschke closed out the 2024-25 season recording 511 saves in 21 appearances, second to Steven Kelley’s team-leading 738 saves in 25 appearances.

JUNIOR BLUES SCOUTING REPORT
- FOR THE RECORD: The St. Louis Junior Blues head into this weekend’s two-game showdown with the Wisconsin Woodsmen sporting a 22-19-2-0 record, good for 46 points and a fourth-place spot in the standings. …. The Jr. Blues enter the weekend trailing the third-place Wausau Cyclones by just two points.
- LAST TIME OUT: The Junior Blues dropped both of their NA3HL games against the Rochester Grizzlies last weekend in Affton, Mo. St. Louis managed just a single goal in falling 4-1 last Friday, before falling 7-3 in the rematch the following evening.
- ROAD WARRIORS: Prior to last weekend’s games against the Rochester Grizzlies, the Junior Blues had played eight consecutive road games. After back-to-back home series against Rochester last weekend and the Wisconsin Woodsmen this weekend, St. Louis will close out its regular-season schedule on the road at Rochester. … St. Louis boasts a 12-9-1-0 record on its home ice, while going 10-10-1-0 on the road.
- LIGHTING THE LAMP: The Jr. Blues boast five players who have netted at least 10 goals this season, led by Lonnie Land, who has scored 24 goals in 40 games. - BETWEEN THE PIPES: St. Louis has used four different goalies this season, led by Travis Visvadra and Aaron Sibert.
