Home fans will get their first viewing of the 2026-27 Wisconsin Woodsmen this weekend, as they welcome the St. Louis Jr. Blues to the Tomah Ice Center for a pair of NA3HL games. Puck drop on both Friday and Saturday is slated for 7:15 p.m.

• FOR THE RECORD: The Woodsmen head into their home-opening weekend series against the St. Louis Jr. Blues sporting a 1-0-1-0 record, having split their two games against the Peoria Mustangs on the road last weekend. … Wisconsin finished with 19-24-2-2 record in 2025-26, good for 42 points and a fifth-place showing in the NA3HL Central Division standings.
• LAST TIME OUT: Wisconsin kicked off the season with a split in its two NA3HL game against the Peoria Mustangs last weekend in Peoria, Ill. The Mustangs took the opener, scoring with 1:11 remaining in overtime for a 6-5 win last Friday, while the Woodsmen earned the split with a 7-3 victory the following evening.
• ROAD WARRIORS: The Woodsmen play four of their six games in September on the road, the lone exceptions, this weekend’s two-game set against the St. Louis Jr. Blues at the Tomah Ice Center. … Wisconsin collected 10 of its 19 wins last season on its home ice, going 10-11-0-2 at the Tomah Ice Center, while owning a 9-13-2-0 mark on the road.
• RIDING THE ROLLERCOASTER: Wisconsin scored the game’s first five goals in its season-opener against the Peoria Mustangs last Friday, only to give up six unanswered tallies — including the game-winner with 1:11 remaining in overtime — in falling 6-5.
• WHITE-KNUCKLE RIDE: The Woodsmen’s 6-5 overtime loss to Peoria last Friday marked the 15th time since the start of the 2025 season that Wisconsin has been involved in a game decided by one goal. … Wisconsin has now played 35 games over the last three seasons that have been decided by one goal — including 21 that have gone into overtime and six decided in a shootout. … Wisconsin lost both of its shootouts last season, falling to the Minnesota Moose on Nov. 15 and to the St. Louis Jr. Blues on Feb. 7.
• TURNING UP THE HEAT: With their 7-3 win over the Peoria Mustangs last Saturday, the Woodsmen have now scored six or more goals in a game 12 times since the start of last season, and have netted 6+ goals in a game 22 times over the last three seasons.
• SPREADING THE WEALTH: Wisconsin’s combined 12 goals against the Peoria Mustangs last weekend came from nine different players — including all five goals in the Woodsmen’s 6-5 OT loss last Friday. 
• LIGHTING THE LAMP: Parker Holloway, Ty Paulios, and Jackson Haupt all scored two goals against the Peoria Mustangs last weekend to share the team lead, while Jayden Herbey, Ozbej Muzan, Dayne Wafle, Myles Bible, Damien Calzada, and Paxton Raymond also found the back of the net. … Paulios led the team with 21 goals last season, five more than Holloway.
• LENDING A HELPING HAND: Bryce Bechen picked up a team-leading three assists against the Peoria Mustangs last weekend, while Holloway, Paulios, and Camero Hovden all chipped in a pair of helpers. … Josh Kauppinen closed out the season a year ago with a team-best 27 assists, two up on Paulios.
• POINT PRODUCERS: With their two goals and two assists vs. the Peoria Mustangs last weekend, Holloway and Paulios sit atop the team lead in points with four, followed by Bechen with three (3 A), and Jackson Haupt (2 G), Hervey (1 G, 1 A), and Hovden with two points apiece. … Wisconsin boasted four players who accumulated 30 or more points last season, led by Paulios with 46 (21 G, 25 A).
• BETWEEN THE PIPES: Dominic Seligman and Nicholas Roy each saw action between the pipes in the Woodsmen’s season-opening weekend against the Peoria Mustangs. Seligman kicked out 18 of the 21 shots in faced in Wisconsin’s 7-3 win last Saturday, while Foy stopped 62 of the 68 shots he faced a 6-5 OT loss the previous evening. … Seligman heads into this weekend’s matchup with the ST. Louis Jr. Blues sporting a 3.00 goals-against-average and .857 save percentage. Foy, meanwhile, owns a 5.71 GAA and .912 save %. 
• RECORD-SETTER: Foy was a part of a pair of franchise records in his first start as a Woodsmen last Friday against the Peoria Mustangs. The 68 shots he faced were the most in franchise

• FOR THE RECORD: The Jr. Blues enter this weekend’s NA3HL two-game series against the Wisconsin Woodsmen sitting at 1-0-1-0 overall, thanks to a season-opening split against the Wausau Cyclones last weekend. … St. Louis closed out the 2025-26 season with a 23-21-2-1 overall record, good for a fourth-place finish in the Central Division standings with 48 points.
• LAST TIME OUT: Four was the magic number in the Jr. Blues’ season-opening weekend series against the Wausau Cyclones last weekend. St. Louis scored four goals in a 4-2 victory last Friday, while the Cyclones netted four goals — including the game-winner in overtime — in a 4-3 triumph the following evening.
• HOME SWEET HOME: The Jr. Blues are in the midst of playing eight of their first 10 games on their home ice. The lone exceptions, this weekend’s two games at the Wisconsin Woodsmen. Following this weekend’s two-game set at Wisconsin, St. Louis returns to the Affton Ice Arena for two-game sets against the Woodsmen, Peoria Mustangs, and Rochester Grizzlies. … All told, St. Louis will play 14 of its first 18 contests on its home ice sheet.
• LIGHTING THE LAMP: Stephen Craig and Jack Vahle accounted for four of the Jr. Blues’ seven goals in last weekend’s season-opening split with the Wausau Cyclones, both lighting the lamp twice. Austin Hodge, Robert Kelly, and Finn Boehm all found the back of the net once against the Cyclones.
• LENDING A HELPING HAND: Hodge, Chase Kozma, and Justin Wingron all collected two assists last weekend against Wausau, while Stephen Craig, Robert Kelly, Liam Cooper, and Ashton Sesti also picked up helpers. 
• POINT PRODUCERS: Craig (2 G, 1 A) and Hodge (1 G, 2 A) sit atop the team’s points lead with three points each, with Kelley (1 G, 1 A), Kozma (0 G, 2 A), Vahle (2 G, 0 A), and Wingron (0 G, 2 A) all chipping in two points. 
• BETWEEN THE PIPES: Vinny Majino and Keaton Pardy each saw time between the pipes in last weekend’s season-opening series against the Wausau Cyclones. Majino stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced in St. Louis’ 4-2 win last Friday, while Pardy made 33 saves in the 4-3 overtime loss the following evening. … Majino enters this weekend with a 2.00 goals-against-average and a .949 save percentage, with Pardy sporting a 3.93 GAA and .892 save %.
