After seven straight home games, the Wisconsin Woodsmen hit the road this weekend, heading to the Rochester Rec Center in Rochester, Minn., for a pair of games against the Rochester Grizzlies. The two teams will square off a for a 7 p.m. NA3HL matchup on Friday, with Saturday’s rematch also slated for 7 p.m.

- FOR THE RECORD: The Woodsmen head into their NA3HL weekend series against the Rochester Grizzlies sporting a 4-14-1-1 record. … Wisconsin closed out the 2024-25 season with a 24-16-6-3 record, good for fifth place in the NA3HL Central Division standings.
- LAST TIME OUT: The Woodsmen offense struggled to find its rhythm in its two-game series against the Minnesota Moose last weekend, managing just two goals combined. Wisconsin dropped a 2-1 decision in last Friday’s opener — falling in a shootout — while suffering an 8-1 setback in the rematch the following evening.
- HITTING THE ROAD: After seven straight home games, the Woodsmen will play their next four games away from the Tomah Ice Center — two games at the Rochester Grizzlies this weekend, and two games at the Peoria Mustangs next weekend. … Wisconsin has collected all four of its wins this season on its home ice, going 4-8-0-1 at the Tomah Ice Center, while dropping all seven of its road contests this year. … The Woodsmen finished 11-8-3-3 at the Tomah Ice Center a year ago, while going 11-8-3-3 on the road.
- STREAKING: Thanks to 3-2 and 9-1 wins over the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7-8, Wisconsin heads into this weekend having won back-to-back games for the first time this season. … With their 3-2 win over the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7, the Woodsmen put an end to a franchise-high nine-game losing streak.
- WHITE-KNUCKLE RIDE: With their 2-1 shootout loss to the Minnesota Moose on Nov. 15, the Woodsmen have now played five games this season decided by one goal (all losses) and have now played 25 games over the last two seasons decided by one goal — including 13 that went into overtime and four decided in a shootout. … Wisconsin’s 2-1 loss to the Minnesota Moose on Nov. 15 was their first game this season decided by a shootout.

- COMING UP EMPTY: The Woodsmen’s 4-0 loss to the Wausau Cyclones on Oct. 24 marked the first time this season they were held without a goal. The last time Wisconsin, which has scored 44 goals in 16 games, had been shut out came in a 3-0 loss to the Minnesota Moose on Dec. 6, 2025.
- LIGHTING THE LAMP: Maxim Lazo heads into the weekend boasting a team-leading 10 goals. Ty Paulios is sitting second on the team with nine goals, one back of Lazo and one in front of Nolan Mix. Tyler Osborne has netted five goals, followed by Ethan Foiles with four and Brodie Mich and Cole Schreiber with three.

- TOSSING THE HAT: Thanks to Paulios’s hat trick against the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7, the Woodsmen have now had a player record three or more goals in a game seven times over the last two seasons.
- LENDING A HELPING HAND: Lazo picked up three assists in the Woodsmen’s sweep of the Peoria Mustangs on Nov. 7-8, pushing his team-leading assist total to 13, three more than Mich and four up on Paulios. Mix is fourth on the team with eight helpers, followed by Brandon Slasor with seven, and Schreiber with six. … Mix picked up four assists in Wisconsin’s 8-2 win over St. Louis on Nov. 2, 2024, one shy of the single-game franchise record of five, set by Hunter Nelson against the Minnesota Loons on Jan. 26, 2024.
- POINT PRODUCERS: Wisconsin boasts four players who have already reached double figures in points, led by Lazo (10 G, 13 A) with 23. - LAST TIME OUT: Rochester is coming off a pair of huge one-goal victories over the second-place St. Louis Jr. Blues last weekend in Affton, Mo. The Grizzlies opened the weekend series with a white-knuckle 4-3 on Friday evening, and followed it up with a second straight 4-3 win in the rematch the following evening
- STREAKING: The Grizzlies’ 4-3 win over the Jr. Blues last Friday snapped their two-game losing streak. Rochester has now sandwiched a pair of two-game winning streaks around a two-game slide.
- LIGHTING THE LAMP: Mason Decker has been a goal-scoring machine for the Grizzlies this season, leading the team with 17 goals in 16 games. Brett Ludvigsen and Baylor Stebbins are a distant second with seven goals each, followed by Ole Fevold and Trenton Fore with six, and Andrew Bastian, Cooper Johnson, nad Briggs Knott with four each.
- LENDING A HELPING HAND: Fevold and Bastian share the team lead in assists with 14. The duo are two of four Grizzlies who have amassed 10+ helpers this season. Ludvigsen (13) and Konnor Goclan (12) are also members of the 10-assist club, while Fore is one helper shy and Stebbins needs two assists to reach double digits.
- POINT PRODUCERS: Rochester has seven players who have reached double figures in points, led by Decker with 22 (17 G, 5 A). Fevold (6 G, 14 A, 20 Pts) and Ludvigsen (7 G, 13 A, 20 Pts) have also hit the 20-point mark, while Bastian (4 G, 14 A, 18 Pts), Fore (6 G, 9 A, 15 Pts), Stebbins (7 G, 8 A, 15 Pts), and Goclan (2 G, 12 A, 14 Pts) boast more than 10 points this season.
- BETWEEN THE PIPES: The Grizzlies have used four different goalies this season, led by Callum Keating and Kyle Lappi, who have each appeared in six games. Lappi boasts a 2.34 goals-against-average and .894 save percentage, while Keating has compiled a 2.89 GAA and .871 save %.
