TOMAH, Wis. — The Wisconsin Woodsmen righted its struggling offense with a six-goal effort in
a streak-snapping victory over the Peoria Mustangs Friday evening.
Saturday, the Woodsmen picked up right where they left off.
And then sum.
Coming off a 6-0 victory over the Mustangs on Friday — a win that snapped Wisconsin’s six-
game losing streak — the Woodsmen did themselves one goal better, scoring seven times en
route to a second straight shutout win, this one a 7-0 triumph at the Tomah Ice Center.
Nolan Mix led Wisconsin’s offensive onslaught, scoring a pair of goals, while five other five
other Woodsmen also found the back of the net in the seven-goal outburst.
Tyler Osborne kicked things off for the Woodsmen. Scoring his 11th goal of the season midway
through the opening period, with Patrick Bowser and Parker Holloway both scoring in the
period’s final 1:26 to give Wisconsin a 3-0 advantage heading into intermission No. 1.
Mix scored the lone goal of the second period, a power-play goal at 15:07, and added his
second of the night five minutes into the third. Jack Dahl and Daniel Horvath also scored in
Wisconsin’s three-goal third period to round out the scoring.
Mix wasn’t the only Woodsmen to pick up a pair of points against the Mustangs Saturday, as
Bowser had a goal and an assist, and Tegan O’Brien collected a pair of assists.
Lleyton Jaschke, who stopped all 14 shots he faced in recording the shutout on Friday, kicked
out each and every one of Peoria’s 23 shots on goal for his second consecutive shutout in the
rematch.
The Woodsmen (14-22-2-1) are back in action next weekend for a pair of NA3HL games against
the St. Louis Jr. Blues. The two teams will square off at 7:15 p.m. at the Tomah Ice Center on
Friday, with Saturday’s rematch also slated for 7:15 p.m.
