HOLLOWAY’S SHOOTOUT GOAL LIFTS WOODSMEN PAST GRIZZLIES

Oct 17, 2026

TOMAH, Wis. — After throwing up a pair of zeroes in shutting out the Fox Cities Forge in both
games last weekend, the Wisconsin Woodsmen set their sights on yet another goose egg when
they took the ice against the Rochester Grizzlies Friday evening.

Unfortunately, their bid for shutout No. 3 lasted less than six minutes, as the Grizzlies scored
the game’s opening goal with 14:01 to play in the opening period.

They may not have gotten a third consecutive shutout, but the Woodsmen did pick up their
third straight win, scoring the only goal of the three-man shootout — coming off the stick of
Parker Holloway on the team’s first attempt — to seal a 4-3 NA3HL victory at the Tomah Ice
Center.

James Kropi put the Grizzlies in front with his third goal of the season 5:59 into the first period,
but the Woodsmen would answer, getting a goal from Cameron Hovden — his fourth of the
year off an assist from Jackson Haupt — three minutes later.

Rochester regained the lead just 12 seconds into the second period, but for the second time in
a row, the Woodsmen would respond, this time getting back-to-back goals from Haupt and
Ozbej Muzan to take their first lead of the game, 3-2, midway through the middle frame.

Trenton Impens notched the game at 3-3 before the second period ended, and after a scoreless
third period and five-minute overtime, the teams’ headed to a shootout, where
Nicklas Timm was busy between the peipes for the Woodsmen, kicking out 29 of the Grizzle’s
32 shots on goal, while Rochester goalie Christian Hill finished with 40 saves.

The Woodsmen (7-3-1-0 overall) are now off until next weekend, when they take on the
Grizzlies in a 6 p.m. matchup on Saturday at the Rochester Rec Center, before returning home
to the Tomah Ice Center for a 2 p.m. matinee against the West Bend Power.
