ROCHESTER, Minn. — The Wisconsin Woodsmen headed into Friday’s NA3HL showdown
against the Rochester Grizzlies having had six of their eight games thus far this season decided
by two goals or less — including three of their four wins.
In other words, playing nailbiters is nothing new for the Woodsmen.
So it should come as no surprise to anyone that Friday’s matchup would follow that same
script.
Unfortunately, this time around, that nail-biting decision did not go the Woodsmen’s way.
Rochester scored three of the game’s first four goals and held off a later Woodsmen rally in
dealing Wisconsin a 3-2 setback at the Rochester Rec Center.
The Grizzlies netted the only goal of the first period, as Dominic Arndt netted his second of the
season with 3:48 to play before intermission.
