GRIZZLIES DEAL WOODSMEN 8-1 SETBACK

Nov 1, 2025

TOMAH, Wis. — It was supposed to be a night filled with tricks and treats when the Wisconsin
Woodsmen welcomed the Rochester Grizzlies to the Tomah Ice Center on Friday.
Afterall, it was Halloween.

Unfortunately, there were plenty of treats for the Grizzlies, and few for the Woodsmen, as
Rochester erupted for four first-period goals and never looked back in dropping Wisconsin 8-1
Friday evening.

The Grizzlies had their offense shifted into high gear from the opening faceoff, getting two
goals from Cooper Johnson and solo tallies from Mason Decker and Tevin Stukel to jump out to
a 4-0 lead.

Micah Sieben got the Woodsmen on the board with his second of the season with 26 seconds
remaining in the opening frame to cut the deficit to 4-1, but that would be all the offense the
Woodsmen could generate.

Alex Arneson and Decker would find the back of the net in the second period, and Briggs Knott
and Trenton Fore added third-period tallies to round out the scoring.

Lleyton Jaschke and Aidan Vanderweele split time between the pipes for the Woodsmen, with
Jaschke finishing with 14 saves, while Vanderweele kicked out 15. Callum Keating finished with
21 saves for the Grizzlies.

The Woodsmen (2-12-1-0) are back in action on Saturday, when they return to the Tomah Ice
Center for a 7:15 p.m. NA3HL matchup against the West Bend Power.
