FOUR-GOAL SECOND PERIOD CARRIES LEAGUE-LEADING POWER PAST WOODSMEN

Jan 25, 2025

TOMAH, Wis. — The Wisconsin Woodsmen entered Friday night’s game against West Bend
looking to gain a little ground on the league-leading Power.

Unfortunately, the Power had other ideas.

West Bend erupted for five unanswered goals — including four in the second period — as the
Power dealt the Woodsmen their fourth straight setback, a 6-2 decision at the Tomah Ice
Center.

Wisconsin scored first in each of the first two periods, but both times the Power would have an
answer.

Tristen May-Robinson netted his 13th of the year four minutes into the opening period, only to
have Odin Klebba find the back of the net with 22 seconds to play in the opening frame to knot
the game at one.

Joshua Kauppinen scored his team-leading 18th goal less than three minutes into the second
period, but again West Bend would answer on a Quinn O’Connor goal at 5:51.                                                                        And from there, it was all West Bend, as the Power would get goals from Jackson Hoem, Brody
Joselyn, and Mike Sobaski to close out the second period, and another by Teagan Scheurei to
account for the lone third period goal in sealing the victory.

Lleyton Jaschke suffered the loss in goal for the Woodsmen, making 23 saves on 29 shots, while
West Bend goalie Adam Prokop also finished with 23 saves.

Wisconsin is right back in action on Saturday, heading to Marathon Park Arena in Wausau, Wis.,
for a 7:10 p.m. NA3HL matchup against the Wausau Cyclones.
