WAUSAU, Wis. — It was a second straight meeting against the Wausau Cyclones, and for the

Friday evening at Marathon Park.

The Cyclones’ Maksim Salienko got things rolling seven minutes into the opening period, with
his fifth goal of the season, and Owen Gohm, Joel Anderson, and Jackson Schroeder all found
the back of the net over the final five minutes of the opening frame to give Wausau a 4-0
cushion heading into the first intermission.

Ty Paulios got the Woodsmen on the board with his 17 th goal of the season at 2:26 of the
middle frame, but the Cyclones answered with goals by Elijah Von Gunten, Jackson Maddock,
Elijah Von Gunten, and Jackson Maddock to extend Wausau’s lead to 8-1 with 20 minutes to
play.

Lucas Mankoff netted Wausau’s ninth goal of the game with a shorthanded tally at 2:35 of the
third, with Wisconsin’s Parker Holloway rounding out the scoring with his seventh of the year at
8:25.

while Lleyton Jaschke finished with 25 between the pipes.

return to Marathon Park in Wausau, Wis., for a 7:10 p.m. rematch.
