WOODSMEN COME UP SHORT IN 6-4 LOSS TO GRIZZLIES

Oct 26, 2025

TOMAH, Wis. — After being held scoreless for the first time this season in a 4-0 loss to the
Wausau Cyclones Friday night, the Wisconsin Woodsmen turned up the offensive heat the
following evening against the Rochester Grizzlies.

As red-hot as the Woodsmen’s offense was, however, the Grizzlies’ was even hotter.
Rochester erupted for six goals — including four unanswered tallies between the first and
second periods — in dealing Wisconsin a 6-4 NA3HL setback Saturday evening at the Tomah Ice
Center.

The Grizzlies grabbed a 2-1 lead after the game’s opening 20 minutes, sandwiching goals by
Mason Decker and Briggs Knott around a Woodsmen tally by Ty Paulios.

The Grizzlies’ lead grew to 5-1 in the first 10 minutes of the middle frame, thanks to two goals
by Decker and another by Baylor Stebbins, before Ethan Foiles netted his fourth of the season
to get the Woodsmen within three, 5-2, heading into the third period.

Maxim Lazo found the back of the net for the ninth time this season midway through the third
to cut the Woodsmen deficit to two, 5-3. Ole Fevold answered for Rochester with less than five

minutes remaining in regulation, before Paxton Raymond scored his first as a Woodsmen to
round out the scoring two minutes later.

Along with his third-period goal, Lazo also chipped in a pair of assists for the Woodsmen, while
Nolan Mix, James Pautsch, Parker Holloway, and Cole Schreiber also picked up helpers.
Lleyton Jaschke finished with 17 saves in goal for Wisconsin, while Rochester goalie Callum
Keating recorded 20 saves.

The Woodsmen (2-11-1-0) are back in action — and back on their home ice at the Tomah Ice
Center — next weekend, hosting the Rochester Grizzlies and West Bend Power in a pair if
NA3HL games. Wisconsin and Rochester will square off at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, with the
Woodsmen and Power playing at 7:15 p.m. the following evening.
